Stand Partner · last updated 1 September 2026

Stand Partner collects nothing and sends nothing. There is no account, no server, no analytics and no third-party code in it. After the app has loaded it makes no network requests at all.

What the app stores, and where

Everything the app makes — your recordings, the analysis of them, the pages of music you photograph or import, your instrument, and your settings — is written to storage on the device you are using, and stays there. None of it is uploaded, backed up to us, shared, or seen by anyone else. We have no way to see it, because it never leaves your device and there is nowhere for it to go.

The microphone

The app asks for the microphone so it can hear you play. The audio is analysed on the device to work out the pitch and timing of each note, and a recording is kept only if you choose to save that take. Audio is never transmitted anywhere. If you refuse the microphone, everything else in the app still works.

The camera

The app asks for the camera only when you photograph a page of music. Those pages are stored on your device and read on your device. They are never uploaded. Earlier versions of this app sent photographed pages to an outside service to be turned into notation; that was removed, and nothing replaced it.

What we do not do

Deleting your data

Takes and scores can be deleted inside the app at any time. Deleting the app removes everything it stored along with it. Because nothing is held anywhere else, that is the whole of it — there is no copy elsewhere to request or erase.

Children

The app is suitable for any age and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If a future version of the app ever sends anything anywhere, it will say so here first, and in the app.

Contact

Questions about this policy can be raised at the app's issue tracker.
